The Black Box Theater is a flexible venue easily customizable to host countless creative and artistic endeavors including plays, concerts, fashion shows, or pop-up night clubs. With its state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, plush theater seating, and artist amenities, the Black Box Theater ensures any performance will earn rave reviews.
Able to seat up to 100 people depending on set design and configuration, it currently serves as the home to Upstream Theater, Consuming Kinetics Dance Company, and UMSL’s Theater Department. When not being used by one of the resident companies, the Black Box is available for rent on a daily, nightly, or weekly basis.
